Flatroof

Traditional felt roofs are normally built up of three layers of bituminous felt. The layers are bonded together with heated bitumen with a reflective finish (such as mineral spa chippings, stone chippings or solar paint). The reflective material is designed to protect the roof from extreme seasonal temperatures.

The long term performance of built up felt roof systems depend on the specification and manufacture of the roofing material together with the skilled installation by our fully trained roofers.

Modern high performance felts incorporate polyester membranes which give excellent strength, durability and life expectancy. Bitumen performance therefore can be improved with the introduction of polymers to increase flexibility, and further extend the life of the roof. These high performance systems, when correctly and expertly installed can return life expectancy in excess of 30 years.
